Coriander / kothamalli chutney



  Coriander chutney is also a must in many south indian homes for idly and dosa. It is easy to make with few ingredients. Coriander is said to have cooling property.
  Requirements :
 Coriander leaves – 1 cup
Coconut -  ¾ cup
Green chili – 5 -6
Tamarind – marble size
Oil – 1 tsp
Cumin – a pinch
Pepper – 4 corns
Salt to taste


Method :
 Heat a pan , pour oil add cumin , pepper , chilli and sauté well.
Add coriander leaves and sauté well.
When cools down , grind along with coconut ,tamarind , salt and quarter cup of water.
Coriander chutney is ready to serve.
Serve with idly , dosa  and roti.
Note :
Dry chilly can be substituted for green chilly.
Can add urad dhal while sautéing which improves taste.
