Samosas are the most popular snack in india. There
are many varities of samosa , variation is in the filling used. I tried this
recipe from chaat by Tarla Dalal. I used whole wheat flour instead of maida in
original version.
It is easy to make samosa within few minutes.
Requirements :
For samosa pattis :
Wheat flour – 1 cup
Salt
Water
Oil – for frying
For onion filling :
Onion – 4 cup
Chilli powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tbs
Cumin powder – 1 tbs
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Sugar – 1 tbs
Besan flour – 4 tbs
Oil – 1 tbs
Method :
Knead the flour with salt and required oil.
For filling :
Heat oil in a pan, add the thinly sliced onion
and sauté well till translucent.
Add the garam masala ,
salt , sugar and besan flour , mix well till raw smell leaves.
Filling is ready.
Making samosa :
Take a small ball of the
dough , roll into thin chappati.
Seal the edges using a paste made of plain flour and water.
