This kulambu is made without tamarind by
using tomato. This is easy to prepare.
This kulambu goes well with plain rice.
Requirements :
Lady‘s finger ( chopped )
– 1 cup
Shallots – 6
Sambar powder – 1 tbs
Tomato – 2
Curry leave – a sprig
Oil – 1 tsp
Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Salt as required
Method :
Heat oil in a pan, add
mustard seeds and wait till it splutters.
Add chopped shallots and
curry leaves . sauté well.
Add tomatoes and sauté
well till it is fully mashed.
Add chopped lady’s finger
and fry for few minutes.
Add sambhar powder and a
cup of water.
Cook with closed lid.
Add required salt and mix
well.
Vendaikkai kulambu is
ready to serve.
