This peas potato kurma is a right combination with roti and dosa. Making process is simple which involves few minutes only. The requirements were too simple and easily available at home.
Peas – 1 cup
Potato – ½ kg
Onion – 1
Tomato – 1
Oil – 2tbs
Salt as required
To roast and grind :
Onion – 1
Tomato – 2
Cinnamon – 1 stick
Cloves – 2
Aniseeds – ½ tsp
Khus khus – ½ tsp
Coconut – ½ tsp
Green chilly – 2
Dry chilly – 5
Ginger – 1’’ piece
Garlic – 5 cloves
Heat a tbs of oil in a pan and roast onion , tomato , ginger , garlic , dry chilly , green chilly , cloves , cinnamon , aniseed and khus khus .
Grind along with coconut to a fine paste.
Boil potatoes and cut into cubes.
Boil peas and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan , add chopped onion and sauté well.
Add chopped tomatoes and mash well.
Add the grounded masala and sauté well.
Cook the masala till the oil separates on top.
Add the potato cubes and peas and mix well.
Add half a cup of water and cook for five minutes.
