This uthappam is similar to 5 taste uthappam additionally I added two more uthappams. So , I named as 7 taste uthappam. Enjoy the colorful uthappams.
Dosa batter - 6 cup
Oil / ghee – 2 tbs
For topping :
Chopped onion – 2 tbs
Idly podi – 2 tbs
Chopped tomato – 2 tbs
Grated carrot – 2 tbs
Mint leaves – 10
Curry leave – 10
Chopped night shade plant greens – 2 tbs
Heat the skillet or griddle , pour a small ladle of batter and spread to a thickness of two inch.
Onion uthappam – sprinkle chopped onion and ghee , cook covered with a lid.
Mint uthappam – place the mint leaves all through the uthappam and cook with closed lid.
Tomato uthappam – sprinkle tomato pieces and cook with closed lid.
Carrot uthappam – sprinkle grated carrot and cook with closed lid.
Night shade greens uthappam – sprinkle the chopped greens and cook . turn this dosa to cook on other side as the green takes time to cook.
Curry leaf uthappam – place curry leaves on the uthappam and cook with closed lid.
As cooking with closed lid , no need to turn on to other side.
