This was first time for me to make a curry
with the sev. I didn’t tasted it before.The crunchiness of the sev was the
important in this gravy.
This goes well with plain rice and roti.
This is simple
and easy to make curry , when we are short of vegetables. The ingredients
required also easily available in everyones home. Sev can be buy from the shop
or can be made in home within few minutes.
Requirements :
Tomatoes – 6
Onion – 1
Ginger garlic
paste – 1 tsp
Mustard seeds – ¼
tsp
Cumin seeds – ¼ tsp
Oil – 1 tbs
Green chillies –
2
Turmeric powder –
¼ tsp
Coriander powder –
¼ tsp
Garam masala – ¼ tsp
Sev – ½ cup
Sugar – 1 tsp
Salt as required
Method :
Chop the onion ,
tomato and green chillies.
In a pan , heat
the oil , add in the mustard seeds let it crackle.
Now , add the cumin
seeds and let it fry.
Add the chopped
onion and green chillies , sauté well till the onion becomes translucent.
Add in the ginger
garlic paste and sauté once.
Add in the
chopped tomato and sauté for two minutes.
Add about half a
cup of water, mix well and cook in
medium flame.
When the tomatoes
are cooked , add in the turmeric powder , coriander powder and garam masala and
required salt.
Let it simmer for
few minutes till the raw smell of masalas leaves.
Take off from
flame.
Add the sev just
before serving or else it will become soggy.
In my pictures
they absorbs the water content of the curry.
Sev tomato curry
is ready to serve.
Serve with roti
or plain rice.
