Potato saggu

 This is yet another delicious kurma made of potato for poori , idly / dosa. This saagu is easy to make within minutes. The light green colour of the gravy will be appealing to eyes.
  I tried this gravy for the first time and I liked it a lot.
Requirements :
Potato – 4 large
Onion - 1
Tomato – 2
Oil  - 1 tsp
Salt as required
To grind :
Green chillies – 3
Fried gram – 4 tsp
Pepper – 6
Fennel seeds – ½ tsp
Poppy seeds – ¼ tsp
Cumin – ½ tsp
Ginger – 1’’ piece
Cloves – 2
Cinnamon – 1’’ piece
Coriander seeds – 1 tsp
Coriander leaves – 2 tsp

Method :
Pressure  cook the potatoes and peel the skin.
Chop the potatoes to small pieces.

Grind the to grind ingredients to a fine paste.
Chop the onion and tomatoes.
Heat oil in a kadai , add the chopped onion and sauté well .

When the onions become translucent , Add the chopped tomatoes and sauté well.

Add the grounded masala and mix well.

Add the potatoes and 2 cup of water.

Add the required salt and mix well.
Cook on medium flame with closed lid.

Potato saagu is ready to serve.
We had with fluffy poori.
