Cookies with ragi flour may sound weird , I too didn’t have any idea before making it and after tasted I want more.
Finger millet is called as ragi commonly . It is rich source of calcium and protein. Aids in lowering the blood cholesterol.
This cookie is simple and easy to make with easily available ingredients .
Ragi flour – 2 cup
Sugar – ½ cup
Vanilla essence – 2 drops
Butter – 2 tbs
Baking powder – 1 tsp
Mix sugar and butter well , till it becomes frothy.
Add the ragi flour , vanilla essence and baking powder , mix well.
At this stage , the dough will be like crumble.
Sprinkle little milk and make a soft and firm dough.
Roll the dough into small balls. These look like chocolate and very flavourful and I want to have it without baking.
Arrange the balls in the baking tray with 1 cm in between.
Let it cool on wire rackand store in air tight container.
Finger millet cookies is ready to serve.
