This is the
first cookie I baked, but posting late. This cookie is a simple and tasty
recipe. I named it as christmas cookies because i used the cookie cutter to make christmas tree and stars.
Requirements :
Maida – 250 g
Butter – 1 tsp
Sugar – 200 g
Cashewnut powder – 100 g
Almond essence – ¼ tsp
Cocoa powder – 1 tbsp
Baking powder – ½ tsp
Method :
Sift maida , cocoa powder and baking powder together.
Mix sugar and butter for a minute.
Add the almond essence and mix well.
Add the cashewnut powder and mix well.
Now , add the flour mixture and mix well without lumps.
Make a soft and firm dough.
If you feel the dough is thick , add a tsp of milk to
the dough.
Keep the dough to
rest for fifteen minutes.
Preheat the oven in the mean time.
Take a small piece of the dough and roll into medium
thickness and cut into desired shape with the cookie cutter.
Arrange in the baking tray and bake for about 20
minutes at 180 degree celsius.
Cool and store in air tight container.
Choco cashew cookies is read to serve.
Note :
As i used whole sugar it appears as crystal , can use powdered sugar.
