Whole Wheat Tutti fruti cookies


  I made these cookies two weeks ago . As I always use wheat flour in my baking , this cookie is also made of wheat flour.

  This cookies has a unique smell as I added the light brown sugar , which gives it a light golden color too. We call brown sugar as Nattusakkarai in Tamil , I don’t know the other names.

 This is a healthy cookie for kids and adults as we didn’t use castor sugar.




Requirements :

Wheat flour – 2 cup

Light brown sugar – ¼ cup

Tutti fruit – ¼ cup

Butter – 2 tbs

Milk – ¼ cup

Baking powder – 1 tsp


Method :

Mix the flour  and tutti fruit well.

Whisk the butter and baking powder well.

Add in the milk and mix well.

Add the flour mixture and brown sugar to this wet ingredients and knead well.

Shape into a cylinder and cover with the plastic wrap.

Refrigerate for 20 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 220 degree Celsius.

Take out the dough from the refrigerator.

Cut into small pieces of 1 cm thickness.

Arrange in the baking tray with enough space to rise while baking.

Bake for 20 minutes .



Let it cool and store in airtight containers.

Whole wheat tuttifruti cookies is ready to serve.
