This is yet another simple and easy to make burfi with the all purpose flour / maida . It is with two flavours of chocolate and rose essence flavour.
I named it so because of its different tastes in each layer. It will be appealing burfi. It is simple and easy to make. I used milk powder to enhance the taste of this burfi.
Maida – 2 cup
Milk powder – 4 tbs
Sugar – 4 cup
Cocoa powder – ½ cup
Ghee – 8 tbs
Rose Essence – 2 drops
Heat 4 tbsp of ghee and roast the maida till aroma comes and keep aside.
Mix the sugar with a cup of water and bring to boil .
When the sugar syrup reaches one string consistency , add the roasted flour and milk powder little by little and stir continuously.
Divide the mixture into two halves, to one half add the cocoa powder and keep stirring. Add the two table spoon ghee and mix well.
To the other half add the rose essence and keep stirring , add the remaining ghee and mix well. Cook in low flame.
Cook till the mixture leaves the pan , takes about 15 minutes.
Pour the white burfi followed by chocolate burfi into the greased tray , smoothen the top with a flat surfaced bowl to get even texture and let it cool.
Cut into desired shape. I had cut into squares.
Chopped nuts can be used for garnishing.
