DrumstickLeaves Bonda



  Bonda are  small dumplings made of besan flour deep fried and served as snack . Bondas are the special snacks made to serve at any special occasion or a family get together.
 Usually bonda is made by mixing besan flour , chilly and onion. Adding drumstick leaves to bonda is unique to our kongu region.
 Drumstick leaves are good for nursing womans and adolescent girls as it is rich in iron content.
 Requirements :
 Besan flour – 2 cup
Rice flour – 4 tbs
Onion – 1
Green chilly – 5 - 6
Salt as required
Drumstick leaves – a hand ful
Oil for frying

Method :
Mix the besan flour flour , rice flour , chilly powder and salt together.
Add the washed drumstick leaves , onion and green chilly  and mix well .
Now add the required water to make the bonda batter. About 1 cup of water is needed.
Heat oil in a kadai.
Take a spoon full of batter and pour into the hot oil. Repeat the same.
Fry till golden brown.

Drumstick leaves bonda is ready to serve.
 Adding drumstick leaves makes the bonda more tasty.
