DrumstickLeaves Bonda



  Bonda are  small dumplings made of besan flour deep fried and served as snack . Bondas are the special snacks made to serve at any special occasion or a family get together.
 Usually bonda is made by mixing besan flour , chilly and onion. Adding drumstick leaves to bonda is unique to our kongu region.
 Drumstick leaves are good for nursing womans and adolescent girls as it is rich in iron content.
 Requirements :
 Besan flour – 2 cup
Rice flour – 4 tbs
Onion – 1
Green chilly – 5 - 6
Salt as required
Drumstick leaves – a hand ful
Oil for frying

Method :
Mix the besan flour flour , rice flour , chilly powder and salt together.
Add the washed drumstick leaves , onion and green chilly  and mix well .
Now add the required water to make the bonda batter. About 1 cup of water is needed.
Heat oil in a kadai.
Take a spoon full of batter and pour into the hot oil. Repeat the same.
Fry till golden brown.

Drumstick leaves bonda is ready to serve.
 Adding drumstick leaves makes the bonda more tasty.

Noodles pakoda



 Pakoda using noodles may sound crazy , but when you have it you will fall for its taste. I made this recipe without knowing how it will taste , once done it was more tasty than normal pakoda.
 It is simple and easy to make recipe.
Requirements :
Plain noodles – 1 packet
Onion – 1
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Garam masala – 1 tbs
Chopped Curry leaves  ­- 1 tbs
Chopped coriander leaves – 1 tbs
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
Besan flour – 4 tbs
Rice flour – 2 tbs
Salt as required
Oil – for frying

Method :
Cook the noodles with ½ tsp salt and a spoon of oil.
When the noodles is cooked , drain the water and keep aside.
In a bowl , add the cooked noodles , besan flour , rice flour , chopped onion , coriander leaves , curry leaves, ginger garlic paste , salt , garam masala and turmeric powder and mix well.
Sprinkle little water and mix well with the hand.
Heat oil and fry  small pieces of the batter.
Fry till golden brown.

Noodles pakoda is ready to serve.

Rice Bonda



 This crispy and easy snack is made of cooked rice. It can be made within few minutes. This bonda was a huge hit in our family and i want to thank my mom , dad and sister for tasting all my dishes and also for their continuous support to blogging.
Requirements :
Cooked rice – 1 cup
Besan flour – ½ cup
Rice flour – ½ cup
Onion – 1
Green chilly – 6
Curry leave a sprig
Salt as required
Oil for frying



Method :
In a large bowl , mash the rice well.
Add the besan flour , rice flour and salt. Mix well.
Add the chopped onion , green chilly and curry leave.
Sprinkle water and mix into a soft batter.
Heat oil , put small balls of the batter into the oil and deep fry till golden brown.
Crispy rice bonda is ready to serve.
Serve with any chutney of your choice.
