Mothi means pearl in hindi. As the panner
balls look like pearl in this I named as mothi kurma.
I decided to make panner kurma in a
different way. So , instead of using panner as cubes , I made it into balls.
This gravy is easy and quick to make.
Requirements :
Panner – 200 g
Onion – 1
Tomato – 3
Garam masala- 1 tsp
Chilly powder – 1 tbs
Coriander powder – 1tsp
Green chilly – 2
Cashew nuts – 3
Grated coconut – 2 tbs
Salt to taste
Oil – 2 tsp
Coriander leaves – 1 tsp
Method :
Grind onion , tomato , chilly powder ,
coriander powder , coconut grated , cashew and green chilly to a fine paste.
Grate panner and shape in to small round
balls.
Heat oil in a pan , add the ground masala and
cook till raw smell leaves or till oil comes on top.
Add required water and salt to taste.
Shallow fry the panner balls and keep in
water to make it soft.
When the gravy balls , add garam masala and
allow to cook for another two minutes.
Now , add the panner balls
and cook for five minutes .
Transfer into serving vessel and garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve with roti , parantha
or naan.
That's a very innovative presentation Sara.! Thnx a bunch for sharing this.
