This is another best way
to use the leftover rice. I had already made this rice fritter. The difference
is I didn’t add the curd. It gives the fritters a unique taste. I also added
chopped onion to this fritters. It will be easy to make within minutes when
unexpected guest came. It will be a excellent tea time snack.
Requirements :
Leftover rice – 1 cup
Curd – ½ cup
Besan flour – 1 cup
Green chillies – 3
Onion – 1
Chopped Coriander leaves – 1
tbs
Chopped Curry leaves – 1 tbs
Chopped ginger – ½ tbs
Asafoetida – a pinch
Salt as required
Oil for frying
Method :
In a bowl , add the rice and curd . Let it
soak for few minutes about 10 minutes. Or blend in the mixer if in a hurry.
In the same bowl , add the
chopped onion , coriander leaves , curry leaves , chillies , ginger ,asafoetida
and salt . mix well.
If the batter is hard , add
some water to make the batter to pakoda consistency.
Heat oil in a kadai , Take a
spoonful of batter and drop into the hot oil.
Take them out and serve with
chutney or sauce.
Leftover rice fritters is ready
to serve.
