valaikai bajji ( RAW BANANA FRITTERS )



  Bajji is a all time favorite snack for everyone. During rainy days , having bajji with a cup of tea will be a heaven. There are many varities of bajji. Here I am sharing plantain bajji. Plantain bajji can be called as the elder of all bajjis. It is easy to make within minutes.
Requirements :
Plantain – 1
Gram flour – 2 cup
Rice flour – ½ cup
Chilly powder -2 tsp
Salt to taste
Asafotedia – ¼ tsp
Baking soda- a pinch
Oil – for frying

Method :
Mix gram flour , rice flour , salt , chilly powder , baking soda together.
To this add required water to make the batter slightly thicker than dosa batter consistency.
Heat oil in a pan .
Slice the plantain to thin long slices.
when  the oil is hot enough for frying , dip each plantain slice in the batter and deep fry.
Cook on both sides.
Valaikai Bajji is ready to serve. Can serve with coconut chutney.
