Beetroot chops


   This recipe i included in tamilnadu lunch menu.
Beetroot chops
  This recipe I had seen in a cookery show long back. Today , I thought of trying anything new with beetroot. When I gone through my cookbook I came across this recipe. The requirements may be lengthy , but it is easy to make. 

Requirements :
Beetroot ( chopped ) – 1 cup
Aniseed – ½ tsp
Bay leaf – 1
Onion -1
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Oil – 4 tbsp
To grind :
Pearl onions – 10
Ginger – 1” piece
Garlic -  5 cloves
Green chilly – 5
Tomato – 1
Grated coconut – 2 tbs
Pepper corns – ½ tsp
Method :
 Heat 1 tbs of oil in a pan and sauté the to grind ingredients and grind to a smooth paste.
Boil beetroot along with salt and turmeric powder.
Heat oil , add aniseeds , bay leaf ,onion and sauté well.
Add the grounded masala and salt.
Add cooked beetroot and sauté for few minutes.
